A "Quick Weave" is a method of installing hair extensions to your hair without leaving out any of your natural hair. The hair extensions are attached to your natural hair by either adding gel to your natural hair to lay it down or by braiding your natural hair down to your scalp and then gluing the hair extensions down on top of that. With this method you do not have to worry about choosing a color to match your natural hair, or about blending the hair extensions in with your natural hair. This method also gives a very flat and non bulky look to your hair extensions.
What is an "Invisible Part Quick Weave" ?
An "Invisible Part" Quick Weave is very similar to a regular quick weave the only difference is your natural hair is parted allowing for a more natural looking hair style. With the Invisible Part, none of your natural hair is left out but it yields the apperance that the extensions are coming from your scalp.
Will a Quick Weave damage my hair?
No and Yes. If a quick weave is applied, cared for, and removed properly it will not damage your hair at all. The damage that you hear some people speak of is caused by not taking the right steps to protect their hair from damage, and not taking the time to properly remove the bonded hair. If you overuse adhesive, fail to maintain your natural hair, or fail to properly remove the added hair your natural hair could incur damage.
How Long will a Quick Weave last, and what do I need to do to maintain it?
A Quick Weave can last up to 4 weeks with proper maintenance. It could last longer but your natural hair needs to be washed and deep conditioned every month, especially when wearing braids or hair extensions regularly. To maintain your Quick Weave style you should NEVER put any oil based product onto the extension hair, for straight styles you should wrap your hair every night and tie it up with a satin bonnet or satin scarf, For curly styles you should apply light mouse and roller set your hair overnight as often as needed, and sleep with a satin scarf or bonnet, and you should come in to get your extensions re tightened every 2 weeks or when you feel them becoming loose.
I have really short, or natural hair... Can I still get a quick weave?
Absolutely!... No matter how short or how natural your hair is, a quick weave will work for you because your natural hair is completely concealed.
